Avertim, a European life sciences consultancy, seeks a Validation Engineer in Belgium (Antwerp area) to ensure GMP-compliant qualification and validation of equipment, utilities and processes, collaborating with Quality, Engineering and Operations.

You hold a Master’s degree in a scientific field, 1–5 years GMP experience, strong GMP knowledge, and are fluent in English and Dutch (French is a plus); you must be prepared to work in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a scientific or technical field.
• 1–5 years of experience in validation and/or GMP-regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of GMP principles.
• Structured, detail-oriented and hands-on.

Responsabilités

• Perform qualification and validation activities for equipment, utilities, processes and cleaning.
• Prepare and review validation documentation such as URS, risk assessments and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports.
• Support CSV activities where applicable.
• Manage deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
• Support internal and external audits and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines and quality standards.

Your role as a Validation Engineer

As a Validation Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that equipment, systems and processes comply with applicable GMP and regulatory requirements. You work closely with Quality, Engineering and Operations teams and contribute to maintaining and improving validated states.

You are part of the Avertim consulting team and receive guidance and support from your Business Manager.

Your responsibilities

• Perform qualification and validation activities for equipment, utilities, processes and cleaning
• Prepare and review validation documentation such as URS, risk assessments and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports
• Support CSV activities where applicable
• Manage deviations, CAPAs and change controls
• Support internal and external audits and inspections
• Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines and quality standards

Your profile

• Master's degree in a scientific or technical field (engineering, life sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, biomedicine, …)
• 1 to 5 years of experience in validation and/or a GMP-regulated environment
• Solid understanding of GMP principles
• Structured, detail-oriented and hands-on
• Fluent in English and Dutch (French is a plus)
• Willing to work in a consulting environment
