Mediahuis is looking for a UX Designer who loves turning user insights into intuitive interfaces. You will shape how readers interact with our platforms and collaborate with UX researchers to deliver engaging design outcomes.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup across Antwerp and Amsterdam, with one day per week in the Antwerp office. Fluency in English and Dutch, 5+ years of experience, and strong Figma skills are required. We welcome curiosity about AI and innovative design approaches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX design.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX and UI skills.
• Proficiency with Figma and design systems.
• Knowledge of usability principles, responsive design, and accessibility.

Responsabilités

• Design user-friendly interfaces aligned with user needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with UX researchers and stakeholders to translate insights into artifacts.
• Create engaging prototypes, wireframes, and concepts.
• Contribute to design systems and scalable solutions for brands.
• Partner with developers, product managers, and teams to implement designs.
• Lead workshops on new and existing features with stakeholders.
• Stay informed on the latest UX/UI trends and AI opportunities.

Your role includes.

• You design user-friendly interfaces that align with both user needs and business goals
• You will work with the outcomes of user research and collaborate closely with your fellow UX researchers
• By designing engaging prototypes, wireframes, and innovative concept designs you turn user research insights into impactful solutions
• You have experience working with design systems and love contributing to their growth, helping us build scalable solutions that strengthen our brands
• You collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to bring those designs to life
• You take the lead in organizing and facilitating dynamic workshops on new and existing features, collaborating closely with stakeholders and development teams
• You are a trendwatcher and love to stay informed about the latest insights in UX/UI to introduce fresh ideas to the team

We work in a hybrid setup. Your team includes colleagues that work in different entities across Antwerp and Amsterdam. We expect you to work from the Antwerp office one day a week. Our hybrid working policy gives you the flexibility to work from home the rest of your time, or to join your team at the office after all.

What’s on your CV, is important but is by no means the only thing we attach importance to. Your communication skills are crucial, since you are one of the primary point of contact for different stakeholders. Therefore you are fluent in English and Dutch. A user-first mindset and a knack for solving problems creatively will get you up to speed in no-time. Speaks for itself that you have knowledge of usability principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards. Thanks to at least 5 years of experience in UX design, your strong portfolio showcases your UX skills and your interest in UI. Therefore, Figma has no secrets for you. You will join Technology & Product Studio (TPS), Mediahuis' Group IT & data department, where passion, innovation, and customer focus come together in the dynamic media landscape. Collaborating with colleagues across various countries, you will develop innovative digital solutions used by all our media brands. More specifically you will join the Group Design Team.
