Job summary

Grant Thornton Belgium is seeking a Senior Accountant to act as a trusted advisor for clients, including Belgian SMEs and international firms. You will prepare interim statements and annual reports, manage accounts, and handle VAT and tax returns.

The role offers autonomy, cross-selling opportunities, and growth towards more complex dossiers across diverse client projects. You will be coached to obtain ITAA credentials and work across an international network, with travel to client sites and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy-Finance or Master's degree in this specialisation.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a consultancy or accountancy firm.
Fluent in Dutch and English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor for clients and be available to answer tax and financial questions.
Assist clients in drawing up interim statements and (annual) reports for Belgian SMEs and international clients, often on client premises.
Keep the accounts for various companies and prepare VAT and tax returns, and attend tax audits.
Work autonomously to complete assignments and grow into more complex cases.
Engage in cross-selling and develop ITAA coaching and challenging dossiers to advance in the role.
