Jan De Nul invites an International Transport Employee to join our transport team. You will handle export transport orders end-to-end, prepare quotations, and draw up transport documents for road, air and sea shipments to support our shipyards and projects.

You will coordinate with carriers and forwarders, monitor shipments, manage costs, and be flexible to assist other teams as required. Based in Hofstade/Aalst, you’ll work in a dynamic, safety‑conscious environment with ongoing training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in administration or logistics or several years’ international transport experience.
• Good communication skills and administrative precision are required.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle multiple cases.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English is required.

# Transport Employee ExportYour Work ContextOur transport department organises daily road, air and sea shipments of spare parts and project cargo to supply our shipyards and vessels both at home and abroad. We are looking for a Transport Employee International Export to join this department.Your RoleAs an International Transport Employee you will be part of the ‘standard exports’ team and will contribute to the efficient running of transport and logistics within Jan De Nul. In this varied role, you will be responsible for handling transport orders from start to finish and resolving technical transport issues.Your main tasks and responsibilities are:* Planning and finalising transport files, sending out and processing quotations, and drawing up the necessary transport documents.* General administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the various processes and activities.* You will create transport orders and closely monitor the associated costs.* Liaising with the carrier, consignees, (customs) forwarders and colleagues from various departments.* You actively monitor shipments and anticipate potential problems or delays.* You are flexible and willing to occasionally, at the request of the department head, support other teams when the organisation’s needs require it.What do you need?* You have a bachelor’s degree in an administrative or logistics-related field, or you have several years’ relevant experience in international transport (road, air and sea).* You have good communication skills, are administratively precise and are not daunted by the prospect of managing several cases simultaneously.* You have a problem-solving mindset and a good command of Dutch and English.* You will be based at our easily accessible offices in Hofstade/Aalst.Working at Jan De NulWorking at Jan De Nul means contributing to solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time: from the energy transition to rising sea levels to smart mobility.
