Bridgestone Europe, Middle East and Africa (BSEMEA) in Zaventem seeks a Trade Compliance Analyst to manage operational compliance for import/export flows and support cross-functional teams. The role requires 3–7 years in trade compliance or EU customs law, English proficiency, and knowledge of SAP, EU UCC regulations.

You will optimize processes, train the compliance community, and collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Logistics.

Qualifications

  • Graduate with university or postgraduate degree in economics, trade or logistics.
  • Affinity with logistics or trade compliance certifications are a plus.

Responsabilités

  • Ensure operational compliance for all customers and import/export/transit flows.
  • Foster interconnectivity with Sales, Logistics, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Manufacturing/Engineering, Quality Assurance, Master Data and Sustainability functions.
  • Create and maintain the training schedule for the compliance community.
  • Support the Trade Compliance Manager on ongoing and new projects related to customs and Trade Compliance regulations.
  • Optimize customs facilities usage, including FTA usage and suspension regimes, and manage origin compliance.
  • Harmonize and optimize contractual agreements with customs brokers while maintaining good relations with authorities.
  • Monitor AEO self-assessments, internal control programs and customs procedures.
  • Monitor tariff classification governance and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Monitor customs broker declarations, CBAM reporting and EUDR DDS statements through My Tower.
  • Support internal and external customs audits.

ABOUT THE ROLE
About the Role

The EMEA Trade Compliance function within the Logistics and Supply Chain (LSCM) department is responsible for the overall trade compliance management of the Bridgestone group business activities in the EMEA area.

The purpose of this job is to act as a Trade Compliance Analyst reporting directly to the Bridgestone EMEA Trade Compliance Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure operational compliance for all customers and all import/export/transit flows.
  • Foster and facilitate interconnectivity with Sales, Logistics, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Manufacturing/Engineering, Quality Assurance, Master Data and Sustainability functions.
  • Create and maintain the training schedule for the compliance community.
  • Support the Trade Compliance Manager with ongoing and new projects related to customs and Trade Compliance regulations.
  • Optimize customs facilities usage, including FTA usage and suspension regimes, and optimize preferential and non-preferential origin management.
  • Harmonize and optimize contractual agreements with customs brokers while maintaining positive relationships with authorities.
  • Monitor and maintain AEO self-assessments, internal control programs and customs-related standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor tariff classification governance through My Tower and coordinate with relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Monitor customs broker declarations, CBAM reporting and EUDR DDS statements through My Tower.
  • Support internal and external customs audits.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education, Master, other certification:
  • Graduate, University degree or Post Graduate degree in Economics, Economics & International Trade Law, Logistics, Customs, Direct/Indirect Tax, or Product Compliance studies.
  • Affinity with or certifications in Logistics, International Law, Trade Compliance, Customs, Tax Law or Product Compliance are considered a plus.
Experience (years):
  • 3-7 years of relevant work experience in international business, project management, trade compliance or EU UCC customs law.
  • Relevant experience in process improvement is a plus.
Technical Skills:
  • Working knowledge of EU UCC customs regulations in a complex international business environment.
  • Knowledge of project software, flowcharting, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP and customs software is an asset.
  • Ability to analyse and handle complex projects and problems.
Languages Skills:
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Any additional European language is an asset.
Soft/Behavioral Skills:
  • Ability to communicate trade and customs regulations to non-expert audiences at different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, across cultures and support teams in different geographical areas.
