Manuchar NV in Antwerp is seeking a Trade Accountant to join our Finance team at headquarters and support our global trading activities across countries such as Brazil, China and many more.

In this role you will process supplier invoices, bank statements and cash allocations across multiple currencies, work with internal stakeholders worldwide and contribute to automation projects to strengthen our finance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Applied Economics, Business Economics (TEW) or another relevant economic field.
• Recently graduated or first professional experience in accounting or finance. More experienced candidates welcome.
• Excellent command of English. Dutch is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Process supplier invoices, bank statements and cash allocations across multiple international entities.
• Prepare, execute and follow up vendor payments with accurate reconciliation of the A/P subledger.
• Match payments to invoices across currencies and international bank accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure high-quality processing in a fast-paced environment in line with Belgian GAAP and VAT regulations.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Accounting and commercial teams to keep global finance operations running smoothly.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate accounting processes.
• Support optimization and automation of A/P workflow.

Your responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, bank statements and cash allocations accurately within daily deadlines across multiple international entities.
• Prepare, execute and follow up vendor payments while ensuring accurate reconciliation of the A/P subledger.
• Match incoming and outgoing payments to the correct suppliers and customer invoices, working with multiple currencies and international bank accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies, resolve complex accounting issues and ensure timely follow-up with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure high-quality processing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while complying with Belgian GAAP, VAT regulations and internal controls.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues from Treasury, Accounting and our commercial teams to keep our global finance operations running smoothly.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate accounting processes, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the further optimization and automation of our A/P workflow

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Applied Economics, Business Economics (TEW) or another relevant economic field.
• Recently graduated or gained your first professional experience in accounting or finance. More experienced candidates are equally welcome.
• Curious by nature and genuinely interested in accounting and international finance.
• You enjoy working accurately while juggling different priorities.
• Analytical, eager to learn and not afraid to tackle complex challenges.
• A hands-on team player who enjoys working with colleagues from different departments and cultures.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset, but not required.
• Excellent command of English. Dutch is a plus.
