Job summary

UPDT272 in Belgium seeks a Tooling Project Leader to manage stamping and injection molding tooling projects from concept through series production approval. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective tooling solutions that meet quality and safety standards in automotive manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (preferred plastics processing, mechatronics, process engineering or related).
Several years of tooling project management experience is an asset.
Experience in automotive manufacturing environments and production processes.
Experience with CAD software and technical design documentation.
Knowledge of Siemens S7 and TIA Portal is advantageous.
Strong MS Office skills and communication abilities.
Structured, analytical and results-oriented approach; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate tooling projects from planning to series production approval.
Define technical specifications, requirements, schedules and implementation plans.
Monitor budgets, deadlines, deliverables and progress.
Coordinate technical discussions with customers, suppliers, internal departments, and external partners.
Support tooling design activities and interfaces with automation systems and production equipment.
Oversee tooling assembly, installation, testing and commissioning.
Perform feasibility studies and FMEA to identify risks and improvement areas.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety and automotive standards.
Support industrialization of new products and new manufacturing processes.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify opportunities for continuous tooling improvement and efficiency gains.
Take ownership of project delivery aligning with technical and business goals.
