Test EngineerJob detailsProfessional ServicesMons, Belgium (Hybrid), Brunssum, Netherlands (On-site), Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium (Hybrid), Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium (On-site), Brussels, Belgium (Remote), The Hague, Netherlands (Hybrid), The Hague, Netherlands (On-site), Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid), Brussels, Belgium (On-site)Full-timeWe are looking for a **Test Engineer** to join our team.**What you'll do:*** Perform independent verification and validation activities on systems in line with established quality management processes and procedures.* Participate in meetings with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders regarding testing scope and execution.* Define and develop test strategies, including functional and non-functional testing, witness testing, and other validation approaches.* Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases.* Review and validate test plans and test cases provided by suppliers and external contractors.* Install and configure Windows and Linux-based applications to support testing activities.* Verify system readiness for applications delivered by suppliers and contractors.* Execute manual functional, regression, and non-functional test cases across Windows and Linux environments.* Produce clear, structured, and comprehensive test reports, including risks, issues, and results analysis.* Contribute to formal test events such as system acceptance, user acceptance, site acceptance, and factory acceptance testing.* Support test management activities using tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, HP ALM or equivalent platforms.* Collaborate in interoperability testing and contribute to requirements traceability activities where applicable.**What you will need to bring:*** Strong experience (3+ years) in designing, developing, and executing test cases to validate system acceptance criteria and business requirements.* Solid experience (3+ years) in analyzing and reporting test results, issues, risks, and overall test execution outcomes.* Experience (2+ years) participating in test reviews and providing feedback on scope and coverage.* Strong experience (3+ years) in manual testing of software applications.* Hands-on experience (3+ years) installing and configuring software applications in test environments.* Basic Microsoft Windows administration experience (1+ year).* Knowledge of Windows domain environments, including DNS, Group Policy, and managed machines (1+ year).* Linux administration experience (1+ year).* Experience (2+ years) working with cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure or VMware.* Experience (2+ years) using test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, HP ALM or similar.* Experience with formal test cycles such as SAT, UAT, FAT, and system acceptance testing (preferred).* Knowledge of requirements traceability matrices (preferred).* Exposure to interoperability testing (preferred).* Experience with NATO Community of Interest applications (e.g., NCOP, IntelFS, CoreGIS, NIRIS) is an asset.* Holds, or is eligible to obtain, a national security clearance as a citizen of a NATO member state.* Availability to work in a hybrid model in the Netherlands.**What can Syone offer:*** Integration in an organization with profound and sustained growth and involvement in pioneering projects with innovative technological solutions;* Strong IT training plans;* Professional evolution with intervention in ambitious technological projects, both national and internationally.By applying, you accept our GDPR policies.
