Imec Leuven, Belgium, invites applications for a TEM Application Expert to join the TEM operations team in the FAB. You will perform in-line and off-line TEM inspections supporting wafer-level characterization. The role requires a PhD or 5+ years in TEM and materials characterization.

Qualifications

PhD and/ or master's degree in science/engineering with relevant experience.
Experience in microscopy and/or semiconductor process is important.
Interest in programming/automation is a plus.

Responsabilités

You are a technical expert in TEM sample preparation and inspection, with deep knowledge of current TEM capabilities.
You will design, develop, and optimize automation recipes for TEM workflows.
You collaborate with application specialists, lab assistants, and operations managers.
You are a co-owner of departmental targets for throughput, quality and innovation.
You ensure high-quality intake of first-time requests and translate customer needs into workflows.
You are the primary contact for evaluating and validating customer requests.
You identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions or improvements.
You stay up to date with TEM technologies and integrate advancements into recipe development.
