Job summary

Imec, a world-leading nanotechnology research center, seeks a Process Assistant SEM in Leuven, Belgium to assure 24/7 SEM tool readiness and collaboration across operations and engineering teams.

You will review inline SEM/XSEM outputs, assist with inspection strategies, and support timely wafer movement while sharing best practices. English fluency and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education in a related technical field or industrial experience.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work across functions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to day-to-day operational readiness of SEM tools in a 24/7 production setting.
• Collaborate with FLS, Equipment, and Process Engineers to ensure tool availability and performance.
• Bridge Operations and Engineering for smooth coordination and handovers.
• Support initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve tool efficiency.
• Escalate tool/process issues and track non-conformities related to tool behavior and data integrity.
