Socomec is seeking an experienced technical sales support professional in Belgium to assist customers and sales reps with technical and commercial guidance. You will analyze requirements, propose Socomec solutions, and advise on standard and customized applications.

The role requires collaboration with product management, sales, service and technical teams, and entails ownership of opportunities from qualification to quotation. Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in technical sales support, application engineering, field service, or similar customer-facing role.
• Experience in electrical power distribution, switching, monitoring or energy management solutions is desirable.
• Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.

Your key responsibilities

Technical & Commercial Support

• Provide technical and commercial support to customers and sales representatives.
• Analyze customer requirements and propose the most appropriate Socomec solutions.
• Advise customers on both standard and customized applications.
• Conduct technical discussions, feasibility studies and product presentations.
• Act as a trusted advisor on electrical distribution, monitoring and switching solutions.
• Support customers before and after the sale to ensure optimal satisfaction.

Sales & Business Development

• Manage opportunities from qualification to quotation and project handover.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer needs.
• Identify growth opportunities within existing customer accounts.
• Support pricing strategies and contribute to commercial negotiations.
• Maintain and update opportunities in Salesforce CRM.
• Contribute actively to achieving sales objectives and business growth.

Collaboration & Project Management

• Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Service and Technical teams.
• Support the Back Office with technical expertise and quality-related matters.
• Contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and knowledge-sharing activities.

Your profile

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a technical sales support, application engineering, field service or similar customer-facing role.
• Experience in electrical power distribution, switching, monitoring or energy management solutions is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluent Dutch (Flemish)
• Fluent French
• Good working knowledge of English
