Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Technical Lead for backend services to guide a team of engineers building workload security products. You will focus on scale, performance, reliability, and security across distributed systems.

In this role, you’ll shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive delivery of high‑quality API endpoints and telemetry processing for large customer environments, collaborating across teams and adopting agile practices.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience with Go/C++/Java.
• Proven technical leadership in a software engineering environment.
• Experience with Agile processes.
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend services team to improve scale, performance, reliability, robustness, and security.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural contributions.
• Architect and implement scalable telemetry processing and policy rendering.
• Develop API endpoints with low latency for large data volumes.
