DEME Group is seeking a Design & System Integration Engineer to own multidisciplinary projects with a strong mechanical focus. You translate functional requirements into concepts, coordinating electrical, hydraulic and control disciplines, and guide external partners from design through first operations.

Based at our Headquarters in Belgium with about 20% travel to suppliers and vessel sites, you bring 3–5 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in project/lead engineering or multidisciplinary roles.
• Ability to coordinate across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control disciplines.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and delivery of mission equipment from initial request through construction and first operations.
• Engage with internal clients to define functionality and translate needs into a design basis.
• Develop mechanical concepts, functional descriptions, calculations and basic drawings.
• Set up project approach and coordinate engineering/procurement strategies with partners.
• Coordinate external offices and review detailed designs for quality and feasibility.
• Ensure interfaces across disciplines form a coherent solution and align with requirements.
• Follow up fabrication, resolve issues during construction, and support commissioning.
• Prepare test/commissioning plans and monitor performance during first operations.
• Monitor scope, planning, budget, risks and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
