Médiane Benelux is seeking a System Engineer to support the design and specification of complex railway signalling systems. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to system modelling, requirements definition and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

You will write clear specifications in English, capture and manage requirements, ensure traceability, and develop system models using MBSE, UML, SysML or SADT. English and French are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Medior-level experience in systems engineering, system design or requirements management.
• Hands-on experience with system modelling methods such as UML, SysML, SADT or MBSE.
• Proven experience in writing technical specifications and managing requirement traceability.
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Background in safety-critical systems, such as railway, automotive, aerospace or a similar regulated industry.
• Strong interest in system design and systems engineering.
• Knowledge of railway signalling systems is a strong asset.
• Analytical, rigorous and able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

• Write and maintain clear, structured system specifications in English.
• Capture, analyse and manage system requirements.
• Ensure traceability between stakeholder needs, system requirements and design elements.
• Contribute to system design and architecture activities.
• Develop and maintain system models using methods such as UML, SysML, SADT or MBSE.
• Participate in technical reviews and collaborate with software, hardware, validation and safety teams.
• Support the analysis of interfaces and functional behaviour.
• Produce high-quality engineering documentation.
