Ageas is seeking a Sustainability Director to lead the ESG strategy across Europe and Asia, delivering a long-term roadmap and governance for ESG products, DEI and social impact. You will partner with Finance, Risk and HR to drive accountability and value creation.
The role requires 15+ years of experience, executive-level communication, and the ability to mobilise senior leaders across borders while traveling as needed. A Master’s degree and fluent English are essential.

The vibrant Ageas Corporate Centre in Brussels is home to a variety of Group level functions including, amongst others, Risk, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Strategy, Business Development and Corporate Communications. It sets out the long term strategy for Ageas and coordinates numerous initiatives across the Group to help realise the strategic ambitions. The Corporate Centre also facilitates knowledge and skills sharing amongst its local operating entities and JV’s, creating strong connections and leveraging on local strengths. It represents the Ageas Group towards external parties, managing relations with analysts, retail and institutional investors, regulators, rating agencies and the media.
The Sustainability Director acts as the overarching Group-level thought leader for the Social dimension of Ageas’ ESG ambition and for the insurance-related sustainability agenda. The role defines and owns the long-term vision and strategic transformation roadmap for ESG Products, responsible underwriting, social impact and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), ensuring alignment with Ageas’ overall business strategy and long-term value creation. It delivers forward-looking insights directly to the Board, Executive Committee, Business Committee and operating companies, shapes Group direction and establishes the strategic frameworks, governance principles and standards required for consistent execution across Europe and Asia. As the ultimate internal and external authority for this domain, the Sustainability Director challenges the status quo, mobilises senior stakeholders across business and central functions, and represents Ageas in relevant external governance bodies and expert networks.
