HumanInTech is seeking a surveying expert to join a central design team for road infrastructure design in Flanders. You will support surveying tasks to back CAD designers, including boundary determination, condition measurements, expropriation planning, site data, and on-site verification.

The role runs 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027 as 2/5 part-time, with a hybrid work model in Leuven and occasional Hasselt travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a surveying expert.
• Advanced AutoCAD knowledge; beginner AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Google environment.
• Dutch native or bilingual.
• Valid B-category driving licence and own transport.
• Own laptop and own AutoCAD licence.

What you will do

You will join a central design team responsible for road infrastructure design, supporting territorial divisions and project managers across Flanders. The team works in three domains: surveying, CAD design, and plan archive management.

As a surveying expert, you will primarily support internal design work with the following tasks:

• Determining public domain boundaries
• Measuring existing conditions
• Preparing expropriation plans
• Setting out data on construction sites
• Supporting dispute resolution on construction sites and performing control measurements

Your surveying work will directly support the CAD designers within the team who create road infrastructure designs.

What we are looking for

• The necessary qualifications to work as a surveying expert
• At least 5 years of experience as a surveying expert
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
• Beginner-level knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Advanced proficiency with common software packages (Word, Excel, Google environment)
• Native or bilingual proficiency in Dutch
• A valid driving licence (category B) and own transport
• Your own laptop
• Your own AutoCAD licence

The setting

This assignment runs from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027. The role is part-time at 2/5.

The main work location is in Leuven, with occasional work in Hasselt. Hybrid working is possible: on office days you can choose between your own location or an office of the organisation.

Travel costs are included in the arrangement.
