skeyes is seeking a Support Engineer Data to ensure the proper functioning of our data communication systems used by pilots and air traffic controllers to keep air traffic safe.

You will perform corrective maintenance, draft technical specs for system replacements, develop knowledge of aeronautical data exchange in international programmes, support IT infrastructure installations, and learn data communication protocols to uphold safety.

Qualifications

• Involved in corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair; may coordinate with suppliers.
• Draft technical specifications for replacement and renewal of data communication systems and international connections.
• Develop knowledge of aeronautical data communication within international programmes (SESAR, SWIM, NewPENS) and new technologies (cyber security, virtualization).
• Support installation and testing during IT infrastructure implementations (networks, servers, cyber security).
• Learn and follow data communication protocols and aviation message handling to ensure safety.

Description du poste

As our Support Engineer Data, you are responsible for the proper functioning of our data communication systems. These systems enable pilots and air traffic controllers to communicate with each other continuously. In this way, you help keep air traffic safe.

What does a skeyes Support Engineer Data do?

• You will be involved in corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair, technician support and will enlist the support of suppliers, if necessary.
• You will draw up technical specifications for the replacement and/or renewal of typical data communication systems, international connection infrastructure.
• You will develop knowledge and follow up all aspects of aeronautical data communication in the framework of international programmes (such as SESAR, SWIM, NewPENS, etc.) and in the context of new technologies (e.g. cyber security, virtualisation, etc.).
• You support the follow-up of the installation and testing during the implementation of the underlying IT infrastructure (computer networks, servers, cyber security, etc.).
• You learn and follow the data communication protocols, procedures, regulations,… in the field of processing aviation messages to ensure safety.
