Job summary

skeyes is seeking an Aeronautical System Maintenance Technician to maintain and optimise critical aviation systems at Liege, with involvement across Charleroi and Namur as digital tower expands.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, undergo extensive training, and develop expertise to intervene independently while contributing to safety and efficiency of air traffic.

Qualifications

• Graduate, bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field (electronics, electromechanics, ICT, automation, aviation technology...) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive training program to gain knowledge of various systems.
• Strong technical background in electronics, IT, computer networks and complex installations.
• Analytical mind and systematic problem solving for technical failures.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Team player with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Stress resistant, flexible, and comfortable in an operational environment.
• Not afraid of heights and holds a B driving licence.
• Excellent command of French and good English (minimum B1/B2).

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on trained technical systems.
• Analyse and resolve technical failures to ensure safety and continuity of air traffic.
• Contribute to modernization and optimisation of existing systems.
• Monitor systems and build broad technical expertise through internal training.
• Collaborate with internal services and external partners at and around the airport.
• Participate in on-call duty and carry out interventions independently after training.
• Guide new colleagues during training and share knowledge within the team.
• Work mainly from Liege (Wallonia) with regular presence in Charleroi to learn the local operation; Namur may be added with the digital tower rollout.
• Operate in a shift system with day, evening, night, weekend and on-call shifts.

Aeronautical System Maintenance Technician

As a Aeronautical System Maintenance Technician at skeyes, you contribute directly to air traffic safety. You will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and optimisation of various technical systems, such as communication, navigation, radar and control tower systems. Thanks to your technical expertise, these critical systems continue to function reliably 24/7.

You will join a multidisciplinary team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous development are central. Through an extensive training program you will get to know the different systems step by step and you will build up the expertise to carry out interventions independently. At the same time, you will contribute to the digitisation and modernisation of skeyes’ technical infrastructure.

What does an Aeronautical system maintenance technician do at skeyes?

• You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the technical systems for which you have been trained.
• You will analyse and resolve technical failures in order to ensure the continuity and safety of air traffic.

• You will mainly work from Wallonia at our Liege site. In addition, you will build up a good knowledge of the local operation through regular presence in Charleroi. With the further roll-out of the digital tower, our site in Namur will also be part of your working area.
• You will work in a shift system with day, evening, night, weekend and on-call duty shifts.
