For our client, one of Europe's fastest-growing high-tech manufacturing groups, we are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist / Raw Material Planner to join its production site in Tienen, Belgium, from 1 October 2026.
In this broad operational supply chain role, you will help ensure a smooth product flow from incoming customer orders through material planning and production to shipment and invoicing. A key focus will be ensuring that the required raw materials and components are available at the right time while maintaining optimized inventory levels.
Your Responsibilities
- Process and follow up on customer orders, verify incoming orders against quotations and price lists, and provide order confirmations.
- Maintain accurate customer, supplier, order and shipment information in the ERP and CRM systems.
- Monitor customer call-off orders and regularly align with customers on demand schedules.
- Plan raw-material and component requirements based on forecasts, customer demand and production requirements.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure material availability while avoiding excess stock.
- Request quotations, place purchase orders with suppliers and follow up on confirmations and delivery dates.
- Proactively identify potential shortages and take action to prevent production interruptions.
- Manage and follow up on supplier complaints and non-conformities.
- Support production planning and contribute to the S&OP process.
- Regularly align with production on material availability, progress and priorities.
- Coordinate transport, outgoing shipments and the delivery of demo units to customers.
- Support customer invoicing and the management of applicable export licences.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes and help implement agreed improvements.
Your Profile
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in raw-material planning, material planning, supply planning, operational purchasing or a comparable supply chain role.
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Good understanding of inventory management, material requirements, forecasts and supplier lead times.
- Experience working with ERP or MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
- Good communication and negotiation skills and confidence working with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Fluent English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
