Loyens & Loeff invites energetic Master students to join its Legal Summer Internship for 2027 across Banking & Finance, Commercial & Tech, Corporate M&A, Direct/ Indirect Tax, and Employment. The program runs in July, August or September 2027 and includes a paid 1-month student contract with a coaching mentor and exposure to leading European law practice.

You should be in your first year of a master’s degree or in your final year with intent to continue studies; you must speak Dutch or French

Qualifications

• Master's student in progress or final year with intent to continue studies.
• Perfect knowledge of Dutch or French and excellent English.
• Good passive knowledge of the other Belgian language.
• Extracurricular activities are a plus.
• Passionate about one of the firm’s expertise areas.
• Proactive, results-oriented and a team player.
• Familiar with AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to enhance efficiency.
• Available during at least one summer month in 2027.

Loyens & Loeff is recruiting Legal Summer Interns for the summer months of 2027 in one of the following expertise groups:

• Banking & Finance
• Commercial & Tech
• Corporate M&A
• Direct/ Indirect Tax
• Employment

Are you the Summer Intern we are looking for?

• You are currently in your first year of a master’s degree, or in your final Master’s year provided that you intend to continue your studies (e.g. ManaMa, postgraduate degree or LL.M.), and you have an excellent academic track record;
• You have a perfect knowledge of Dutch or French, an excellent level of English and at least a good passive knowledge of the other Belgian language (Dutch or French);
• You are preferably able to present some relevant extracurricular activities;
• You are passionate about one of the expertise areas in our firm;
• You work proactively and you are results-oriented;
• You are a team player and you communicate easily and effectively with both your colleagues and clients;
• You can confidently work with modern AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance your efficiency.
• You are available during at least 1 of the summer months of 2027.
