Hydra Fabricators is seeking a registered apprentice welder to join our shop fabrication team. You will read drawings, interpret welding process specs, and weld in all positions, contributing to projects across North America.

We value safety, teamwork, and self-motivation; you will perform pre-job inspections, maintain a clean work area, and follow all safety protocols to ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered welding apprentice with shop fabrication exposure.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings and welding process specifications.
• Ability to weld in all positions.
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices and procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and welding process specifications
• Understand weld symbols
• Weld in all positions
• Conduct required pre-job/pre-task inspectionsComplete scheduled work in cooperation with the Foreman
• Maintain a tidy, clean and safe work area
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment at all times
• Perform basic cutting and welding of mild steel

Requirements

• Must be a registered apprentice
• Experience with shop fabrication
• Experience using various hand tools (grinders, oxy/acetylene torches etc.)
• Maintain safe work practices as outlined in company policies
• Commitment to safety and safe work procedures
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to work with little supervision
