Hydra Fabricators in Ontario is seeking an apprentice welder to read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and weld in multiple positions. You will perform basic cutting and welding of mild steel and help maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires self-motivation, ability to work with minimal supervision, and teamwork; certifications in CWB FCAW/MCAW/SMAW preferred; registered apprentice desired; prior experience with grinders and oxy/acetylene torches a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered apprentice.
• Experience with structural fabrication.
• Experience using hand tools (grinders, oxy/acetylene torches).
• CWB FCAW/MCAW/SMAW certifications.
• Commitment to safety and safe work procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and with little supervision.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Understand weld symbols.
• Weld in all positions.
• Conduct required pre-job/pre-task inspections.
• Complete scheduled work in cooperation with the Foreman.
• Maintain a tidy, clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment at all times.
• Perform basic cutting and welding of mild steel.
