Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a senior IT architecture leader to guide the merger of Architecture and Product teams into a unified operating model in a hybrid Brussels setting. Immediate start, contract-ready for 3 months, with a focus on delivery excellence and operational stability across digital initiatives.

The role requires extensive experience in transition management, ITIL/TOGAF/ArchiMate, cloud-native patterns, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

10+ years of transition management and complex project management.
Deep knowledge of IT processes and methodologies: ITIL, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and Domain Driven Design.
Expertise in cloud-native architecture patterns.
Hands-on with microservices and event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with Gartner Architecture Frameworks including TIME for Application Portfolio Management.
Proficient with modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.
Fluent in English with a good level of Dutch and/or French.

Responsibilities

Lead the transition and merger of Architecture and Product teams into a unified target operating model.
Define and implement governance frameworks, clarifying roles and interfaces between architecture, product, and delivery teams.
Manage the solution architecture workforce across digital initiatives, including resource assignment and portfolio monitoring.
Drive the transition plan to ensure continuity and rapid realization of organizational objectives.
Establish standardized deliverables and quality controls to maintain high architectural standards.
Facilitate team cohesion and collaboration to make the merged organization effective and self-sustaining.
