Sirona Technologies in Brussels, Belgium seeks a Senior Procurement & Costing Engineer to turn engineering specs into suppliers, prices and terms, freeing engineers to focus on design and performance.

You will own direct procurement for industrial equipment, build should-cost models, lead supplier negotiations, qualify new vendors in Europe, and establish contracts with warranties and clear SLAs, reporting to Head of Operations.

Formación

• At least 3 years of experience in direct procurement, strategic sourcing or cost engineering, buying machine components or industrial equipment.
• Strong verbal and written English in an English-only work environment.
• Technical start to your career (engineering, estimating or cost role).
• Should-cost as a practitioner: built cost models and used them across negotiations.
• Proven negotiation record with cost transparency and competition.
• Experience in supplier development from first contact to qualified production.
• Experience owning sourcing for entire equipment in a small team.
• Knowledge of warranty and commercial contract terms; can refuse vendor clauses.
• Genuine passion for procurement; able to close RFQs, sign contracts and manage relationships.
• Strong numerical aptitude paired with strong people skills.
• Bias for action with humility and practical mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Bring the cost down across all direct categories for industrial equipment and components.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations.
• Build should-cost and make-vs-buy models and apply them across supplier decisions.
• Negotiate with scale in mind using cost transparency and competitive bidding.
• Identify and qualify new vendors in Europe and beyond; conduct first- article inspections.
• Challenge specs with engineers to standardize components without reducing performance.
• Establish supplier partnerships and supply agreements robust to investor scrutiny.
• Secure warranties and performance guarantees; manage downtime risk.
• Own commercial terms of contracts: price, Incoterms, milestones, penalties.
• Develop vendor management through scorecards and performance remediation.
• Close placeholders and single-source lines to quoted, contracted states.
