Job summary

White Recruitment Limited in Belgium is seeking an experienced Freight Business Development Manager to grow the company’s Belgian footprint. You will develop new business and design multimodal solutions, combining road, rail, inland waterway and ocean freight, with a focus on freight forwarding and integrated supply chain services.

The role requires proven sales expertise, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to engage senior decision-makers with Dutch and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development or commercial sales within freight forwarding, shipping, logistics or international transport.
• Strong understanding of the Belgian freight and logistics market.
• Demonstrable experience winning new customers and generating profitable business.
• Experience selling multimodal or complex logistics solutions is preferred.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and secure new customers across the Belgian market.
• Develop new business opportunities across freight forwarding and multimodal logistics.
• Build and maintain relationships with shippers, manufacturers, importers and exporters.
• Understand customers’ supply chains and identify opportunities to improve cost, efficiency and service.
• Develop tailored solutions incorporating road, rail, inland waterway and ocean freight.
• Generate opportunities around FCL/LCL, general cargo and heavy cargo.
• Manage the complete sales process from prospecting to quotation, negotiation and contract award.
• Attend customer meetings and industry events across Belgium.
