Job summary

Allison Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems in Bruges (Brugge), Belgium, is seeking a Buyer Indirects & CAPEX to lead indirect procurement and CAPEX initiatives for the Bruges site. You will partner with internal stakeholders, drive cost reductions, and manage supplier relationships across international teams.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and contract-management skills, with experience in ERP and MS Office. Fluency in Dutch or English is required, and travel is modest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or purchasing.
• Experience with indirect procurement and CAPEX projects is highly desirable.
• Technical affinity or experience within an industrial manufacturing environment is a significant advantage.
• Experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and budget monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize indirect procurement categories and CAPEX purchases.
• Support and lead sourcing initiatives for investment projects and indirect goods and services.
• Advise internal stakeholders throughout the entire procurement process.
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage pricing agreements, framework contracts, and service agreements.
• Select, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships.
• Conduct market analyses and identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
• Monitor procurement budgets, cost performance, and reporting.
• Ensure contract compliance and effective contract management.
• Collaborate with international procurement colleagues and contribute to global initiatives.
• In time, manage one or more indirect commodity/category domains at group level.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and ways of working.
