Job summary

NN Group in Brussels is seeking a Team Lead Cost Accounting to lead the Cost Accounting team, ensure reliable daily financial operations and drive improvements through smarter processes. You will oversee purchase-to-pay, payments, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and financial closing, while coaching colleagues and partnering with Finance, Procurement, HR, IT to improve efficiency via data and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
• Cost Accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience guiding or leading colleagues or readiness to step into leadership from a strong financial foundation.
• Ability to translate complex financial issues into practical decisions and set clear priorities.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders and using data, digitalisation and automation to improve Finance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable daily operations and accurate, timely financial administration.
• Oversee key Cost Accounting processes including Purchase-to-Pay, supplier data, invoices and payments, payroll accounting and fixed assets.
• Coordinate financial closing, accruals, provisions, cost allocation, balance-sheet reconciliations, VAT, reporting and audit support.
• Provide clear direction to the team and coach colleagues to develop their expertise and ownership.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR, Business and IT to simplify processes and drive efficiency through data and automation.
