Job summary

NN in Brussels is seeking a Team Lead Cost Accounting to manage daily financial operations, ensure accuracy of cost accounting and drive process improvements. You will steer the team, set priorities and deliver timely financial administration while championing automation and smarter workflows.

The role requires a Finance/Accounting degree and hands-on cost accounting leadership, with collaboration across Finance, Procurement, HR and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Proven cost accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience guiding and leading colleagues; able to coach and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality, results and development of Cost Accounting.
• Coordinate Purchase-to-Pay, supplier data, invoices and payments, payroll accounting and fixed assets.
• Lead financial closing, accruals, provisions and VAT reporting.
• Provide clear direction to the team and coach colleagues to enhance autonomy.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR, Business and IT to simplify processes through data and automation.

When complex issues or important deadlines require it, you are ready to work directly on the financial content.Key responsibilities:You ensure reliable daily operations and accurate, timely financial administration. You set priorities, monitor quality and resolve operational obstacles.You take responsibility for key Cost Accounting processes, including Purchase-to-Pay, supplier data, invoices and payments, employee expenses, payroll accounting and fixed assets.You coordinate financial closing and compliance activities, including accruals, provisions, cost allocation, balance-sheet reconciliations, VAT, financial reporting and audit support.You provide clear direction to the team, clarify goals and responsibilities and coach colleagues in developing their expertise, autonomy and ownership.You collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR, Business and IT to simplify processes and improve efficiency through data, digitalisation and automation.Who you will work withYou will lead the Cost Accounting team, consisting of eight colleagues, including the Team Lead. The team combines experienced colleagues with more operational profiles. You help strengthen its collaboration and expertise while creating clarity around priorities and responsibilities. Within the Finance organisation, you report to the Manager Finance, Accounting Control & Treasury.
