Job summary

MindWave is seeking a Splunk & Linux System Engineer to support Linux-based IT infra and the Splunk platform for a major European energy client. You will design, deploy, and optimize Splunk solutions while maintaining a Red Hat Linux environment, using Ansible and Git pipelines for automation.

Fluency in French or Dutch plus English is required, with remote-friendly and hybrid working options in Belgium. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in Linux infra, 2+ years in production Splunk, and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Linux infra experience in large enterprises.
• 2+ years hands-on Splunk administration and engineering.
• Strong SPL, Splunk health monitoring, and Linux expertise.
• Familiar with ITIL processes and automation tooling (Ansible, Bash/Python).
• Experience with container tech (Podman) and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize Splunk solutions for data onboarding, indexes, sourcetypes, dashboards, reports and alerts.
• Manage end-to-end Linux infrastructure including provisioning, patching and tuning (Red Hat-based).
• Automate configurations using Ansible, Bash/Python scripts and Git-based pipelines.
• Resolve incidents with ITIL-aligned processes and perform root-cause analysis.
• Evaluate new Splunk capabilities and integrate containerized environments and security logging.
