Job summary

Redwire Space seeks an Embedded Software Architect to own the complete embedded software flow for satellite equipment or scientific instruments. You will translate customer requirements into software specifications, drive design and validation, and maintain documentation across the project lifecycle.

You will lead software reviews, ensure traceability, and coordinate with electronics engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent by experience.
Experience with ESA practices & standards ECSS-E-40/Q-80, hands-on design, development and testing.
Working knowledge of electronics is essential.
Familiar with C and/or C++.
Familiar with FPGA (VHDL) and micro-processor architectures.
Fluency in English.
Proactive and team oriented with strong planning and communication.

Responsibilities

Translate customer requirements into software specifications and ensure coherence with project goals.
Lead the embedded software design, validation, and review activities with the team and customers.
Maintain software documentation and project plans aligned with phase gates.
Oversee tests and document software performance during campaigns.
Support technical reviews and ensure traceability from requirements to delivery.
