Space Applications Services NV/SA is seeking an Industrial Engineer to industrialize robotics products within the RMS team. You will optimize concepts into robust, manufacturable space robotics systems, addressing manipulators, docking systems, and gravity-offloading technologies for on-orbit and terrestrial uses.

The role requires a Master’s degree in mechanical/industrial/mechatronics engineering and at least three years in mechatronics design and industrialization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in mechatronics/mechanical design and industrialization.
• Good knowledge of ECSS/space design standards is advantageous.
• Experience with CE marking procedures and risk assessment.

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed mechanical design and optimization of space components and mechanisms.
• Optimize designs to reduce cost, lead time, and weight while meeting safety requirements.
• Produce high-quality 2D drawings and files for manufacturing.
• Define assembly procedures and tooling for repeatable integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure interface alignment and BOM control.
• Support CE marking processes and technical file compilation.
• Lead interactions with suppliers and machine shops.
