Space Applications Services NV/SA seeks two Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineers to design and develop space robotics applications for ESA/EC funded projects and commercial products.
You will join the Robotics, Mechanisms and Structures (RMS) Team in the Systems Department, report to the RMS Team Lead and Project Managers, and contribute to end-to-end design, validation, manufacturing support and technical documentation, with partial remote work opportunities.
The Technology Applications Research Division develops innovative technology to meet the needs of future space missions, to Low Earth Orbit, Lunar Orbit, the Lunar Surface and beyond. Typical applications are robotics, mechanisms and electronics for in-orbit servicing, rovers for lunar exploration and in-situ-resource utilisation complemented by virtual environments used to visualise the ways in which the technology will be used.
We are looking for two a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer to deal with the design and development of our innovative space robotics applications (in-orbit and planetary), in challenging ESA and EC funded projects as well as commercial products development.
These projects cover currently the following topics:
The position is in the Systems Department, Robotics, Mechanisms and Structures (RMS) Team (comprised of 15 persons).
The candidate will mainly report to the RMS Team Lead and the Project Managers of the Flight System Team.
