Job summary

Veoware Space leads in space technology and seeks an experienced Software Architect & Team Technical Lead to steer embedded software for reaction wheel and control moment gyroscopes. You will guide architecture from early design to qualification and ensure high reliability in space environments.

Lead a small team, define standards, and collaborate with FPGA and hardware groups to ensure robust integration and traceability across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or a scientific discipline.
• 10+ years of embedded software experience in complex or regulated systems.
• Experience defining software architectures and guiding engineers through reviews.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the software architecture across product lines.
• Lead technical design decisions and document architectural choices.
• Establish and promote software development, review and testing standards.
• Collaborate with FPGA, avionics, control and systems engineers for integration.
• Contribute to build-versus-buy decisions and technology selection.
• Collaborate with Product Assurance for software qualification readiness.
• Support customer reviews, technical audits and qualification activities.
• Mentor a growing software team.
• Drive continuous improvement of software engineering practices.
