From our office in Ghent , we’re looking for a Software Engineer – Java Backend who’s eager to contribute to the development of our next-generation calculation engine, designed to process millions of complex leasing scenarios at high speed and scale.

What you’ll do…

• Design and develop backend solutions for our next-generation calculation engine , built to handle complex, high-volume calculations in milliseconds.
• Help build a scalable system capable of pre‑calculating millions of leasing scenarios , taking into account promotions, services and extensive configuration options.
• Work closely with fellow engineers and Product Owners to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute throughout the development lifecycle as part of an agile Scrum team , from refinement and implementation to testing and continuous improvement.
• Share your expertise within SOFICO’s global developer community , contributing to engineering best practices and technical innovation.

What you bring…

• Professional experience as a Software Engineer , with strong backend development skills in Java 17, Java EE7 and Java frameworks.
• Experience designing and developing software using a microservices architecture.
• Solid experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combined with fluent English and the ability to collaborate effectively within an international engineering environment.
