In4Matic in Brussels is seeking a senior delivery leader to steer the execution of business-critical software solutions in a fast-moving environment. You will connect business priorities with technical delivery, guide multiple squads, and ensure a predictable, high-quality software delivery process aligned with operational needs.

The role requires 7+ years in delivery leadership, hands-on experience with SDLC, DevOps and CI/CD, and experience with scaled agile frameworks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in a delivery lead or similar role within a complex software environment.
• Experience across full SDLC including DevOps, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience in scaled agile setups such as Spotify model or SAFe.
• Logistics domain experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Pragmatic and solution-oriented with negotiation abilities.

Function

Our client is looking for a senior delivery leader to steer the execution of business-critical software solutions within a complex, fast-moving environment. In this position, you will help connect business priorities with technical delivery, guide multiple squads, and ensure that the software delivery process remains predictable, high-quality, and aligned with operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end software delivery, from requirements and development through testing and release.
• Manage the execution roadmap and help ensure the timely delivery of scalable features.
• Coach squads to strengthen technical practices, delivery performance, and self-organization.
• Identify and remove technical, organizational, and process bottlenecks that affect throughput and quality.
• Translate complex technical plans and delivery milestones into clear updates for business stakeholders and senior management.
• Act as a sparring partner for key stakeholders across product, technical leadership, agile coaching, and engineering.

Technical Skills

• Strong oversight of software delivery standards and quality practices, including code reviews and automated testing.
• Hands-on understanding of applications built with Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, and Angular.
• Experience supporting teams working with high-volume, real-time data and messaging via MQTT and IoT protocols.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and AWS-based environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation, DevOps practices, and scalable, secure cloud delivery.
• Conceptual understanding of modern architectures such as microservices, API-driven systems, and event-driven systems.

Profile

• At least 7 years of experience in a delivery lead or similar role within a complex software engineering environment.
• Proven background in the full software development lifecycle, including DevOps, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience in a scaled agile setup such as Spotify model, SAFe, or tribe/squad structures.
• Logistics domain experience is considered a plus.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Pragmatic and solution-oriented, with solid negotiation abilities.

Practical Information

This opportunity is based in Brussels and follows a hybrid work model, with a strong presence in the Brussels office expected. The assignment is to start as soon as possible.

Language requirements: fluent English is essential; Dutch or French is a strong plus.
