Job summary

Astrum Talent partners with a fast-growing space company recruiting an experienced architect/lead to drive embedded software architecture across product lines. You will mentor a growing software team and collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure high quality and ECSS-aligned design.

Based in Belgium, you will lead technical design, set standards for development, reviews, and testing, and support customer reviews and audits, shaping the future of space-grade software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Embedded software development/architecture in the space sector.
• Very competent on C/C++.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and compliance.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Great communication skills with a passion to mentor and develop colleagues.

Responsibilities

My client is a fast growing, highly skilled and extremely exciting space company producing innovative products to customers and projects around the world.

To help further grow and develop their Embedded team, they are hiring for an experienced architect/developer to join them on a permanent basis as a Team Lead.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and maintain the software architecture across product lines.
• Lead technical design and document architectural choices.
• Establish and promote software development, review and testing standards, and review software for correctness, maintainability and compliance.
• Work closely with all internal teams producing a co-operative environment
• Support customer reviews, technical audits and qualification activities.

Successful candidates will have:
