Job summary

Veoware Space is seeking an experienced Technical Software Architect & Team Lead to steer embedded software powering our reaction wheel and control moment gyroscope lines. You will define the technical vision, guide a small software team and ensure software quality for space applications.

You will collaborate with FPGA, avionics and systems engineers, drive architectural decisions, and establish robust development and qualification processes to meet stringent reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
• 10+ years embedded software experience in complex or regulated systems.
• Experience defining software architectures and leading technical reviews.
• Experience collaborating with hardware, FPGA and systems teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the software architecture across product lines.
• Lead technical design decisions and document architectural choices.
• Establish and promote software development, review and testing standards, and review software for correctness, maintainability and compliance.
• Work closely with FPGA, avionics, control and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration.
• Contribute to build-versus-buy decisions and technology selection.
• Collaborate with Product Assurance to ensure software qualification readiness.
• Support customer reviews, technical audits and qualification activities.
• Guide and mentor a growing software team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software engineering practices.
