BESIX Group in Antwerp is developing the ROCO consortium's largest section on the right bank of Antwerp, including the Canal Tunnels and transforming the Ring into a modern, partly sunken infrastructure. The role requires English as the sole working language within the dedicated project zone.

You are a site-based, site-oriented engineer responsible for a defined part of a larger construction project, ensuring documentation, methods and materials are available and coordinating with subcontractors

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering (Construction), or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Thrives in complex projects: organized, proactive, and driven to take ownership.
• Solid experience on at least two civil engineering projects and eager to build on it.
• Combine strong analytical and technical capabilities with the ability to keep a clear overview and drive the bigger picture forward.
• Solution-oriented and decisive, not afraid to take initiative in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communicator who connects people, facilitates collaboration, and keeps stakeholders aligned.
• Flexible, resilient, and energised by working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving project setting.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the site is supplied with all documentation, methods and materials needed to carry out the works.
• Prepare construction method statements and risk assessments, and develop work methods and temporary works necessary for your area.
• Prepare temporary works drawings and site related design drawings.
• Develop the job safety analysis.
• Follow up on the permanent work design and coordinate this with the site.
• Coordinate on a daily basis with the subcontractors, and assist in the preparation of the work requisition for the subcontracted works.
• Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets of offers received from the subcontractors, and follow up of the subcontracted works, including the payment applications.
• Prepare work requisition for all required permanent materials, and prepare material submittals and follow-up of the approval process.
• Follow‑up on the deliveries and invoicing of these permanent materials.
