Job summary

Yusen Logistics Group is seeking a proactive Site Controller to drive profitability through financial reporting and performance analysis at our clusters in Belgium. You will partner with Operations and Management to support monthly closings, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accurate data and insightful performance reviews.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement within Planning & Control to optimize financial outcomes across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in Controlling or Financial Analysis.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding is a strong advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.
• A solid understanding of P&L management, costing structures, financial analysis and KPIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent English communication skills for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support monthly closing processes for assigned sites.
• Analyze customer and job profitability and identify improvement opportunities.
• Validate financial data including gross profit, ops results and KPIs.
• Perform variance analyses against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Support preparation of management reports and performance reviews.
• Develop accurate budgets and forecasts with operational management.
• Monitor operational KPIs and translate data into actionable insights.
• Partner with Site Managers and Operations to improve financial performance.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives within Planning & Control.

At Yusen Logistics, we are looking for a proactive and analytical Site Controller who will support our operational sites with financial reporting, performance analysis, budgeting, and business partnering. In this role, you will work closely with Operations and Management to help drive profitability, transparency, and continuous improvement across our Cluster North business.

What will you do as Site Controller?

As a Site Controller, you will play a key role in monitoring and improving the financial performance of our operations. You will collaborate with site teams, operational stakeholders, and the Business Unit Controller to ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making.

Your responsibilities include:

Managing and supporting the monthly closing process for your assigned sites.

Analyzing customer and job profitability and identifying irregularities or opportunities for improvement.

Validating financial data, including gross profit, operational results, and KPI performance.

Performing variance analyses against budget, forecast, and previous periods.

Supporting the preparation of management reports and performance reviews.

Developing accurate budgets and forecasts together with operational management.

Monitoring operational KPIs and translating data into actionable business insights.

Partnering with Site Managers and Operations to improve financial performance.

Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

You bring:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Analysis, or a similar role.

Experience within logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding is a strong advantage.

Advanced Excel Skills And Experience With Reporting Tools.

Knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.

A solid understanding of P&L management, costing structures, financial analysis, and operational KPIs.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain financial topics to non-financial stakeholders.
