ENGIE Belgium is seeking a Short-Term Power Market Analyst to join the STP team in Brussels. You will monitor CWE markets, forecast prices, and propose trading strategies while owning models end-to-end from research to production.

Requires a Master’s (or PhD) and 5+ years in power markets, with strong Python and data science skills, plus experience in stochastic/optimization models and cloud tools (AWS).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant area and at least 5 years in power markets.
• Strong Python and data science skills with model-building experience.
• Experience in stochastic/deterministic optimization and trading context.
• Familiarity with cloud tools (AWS) and high-performance computing is a plus.
• Clear communication and ability to explain complex models.

Responsabilités

• Monitor power markets and short-term supply/demand fundamentals.
• Provide price forecasts and trading signals for real-time decisions.
• Develop automated solutions for asset optimization and trading.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of models from research to production.
• Publish market analyses and develop dashboards for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior analysts and drive key projects.
