Windcat is seeking a Shore Based Marine Engineer to support the technical reliability and operational readiness of our vessels across Europe. You will diagnose problems, plan repairs, and ensure vessels are ready for the next job while acting as the vital link between sea crews and onshore technical teams.

The role requires a strong technical background, hands-on problem solving, and a commitment to safety.

Responsabilités

• Providing hands-on technical support for maintenance and repairs across assigned vessels, coordinating with the Technical Superintendent and Technical Manager.
• General vessel maintenance, inspection and repairs (Engines MTU/MAN/Volvo Penta; gearboxes Twindisc/Servogear).
• Fault-finding and repairs of electrical, hydraulic and heating systems on vessels.
• Collaborate with crews to understand problems and train them to service/check their vessel.
• Travel and work away from home at multiple sites around Europe, mainly Netherlands and Belgium.
• Maintain flexibility in working hours to support operational requirements including emergencies.

Shore Based Marine Engineer – Netherlands / Belgium / Europe

We're looking for a Shore Based Marine Engineer to support the technical reliability and operational readiness of our vessels across the region. You'll be the vital link between our crews at sea and our technical team ashore - diagnosing problems, planning repairs, and making sure our vessels are always ready for the next job.

What you'll be doing

• Providing hands-on technical support for maintenance and repairs across your assigned vessels, working closely with the Technical Superintendent and Technical Manager.

• General vessel maintenance, inspection and repairs (Engine types include: MTU, MAN and Volvo Penta. Gearboxes include: Twindisc and Servogear).

• Fault-finding and repairs of vessel electrical, hydraulic and heating systems.

• Work closely with the crews to understand their problems and train them to service/ check their vessel.

• Travel and work away from home at multiple sites around Europe, mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium

• Take a flexible approach to working hours and to work in accordance with operational requirements (including in the event of breakdowns/emergency repairs).

Offer

Full time employment in an international organisation (probation period applies)

Hours: Shift work 2 weeks on 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off

Location: Various sites in Europe inc. Netherlands, Belgium

Use of company phone, laptop and accommodation whilst on shift
