Vestas is seeking a Service Technician / Project Technician for Wind Turbines in Belgium. You will drive strategic projects, develop CIM cases, review repair methods, and lead trainings in the field.

You will prepare reports and participate in customer meetings, supporting safety and efficiency across international teams. The role requires electrical/electronics training and 5 years of wind industry experience, with travel across Germany and the NCE region.

• Completed vocational training in electrical engineering or electronics.
• 5 years of relevant wind industry experience in a similar role.
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate complex activities and lead international teams.
• Strong focus on safety and training delivery.

Responsabilités

• Implement strategic projects aligning with Vestas goals and cost reduction.
• Prepare CIM cases, assess feasibility, materials, and tool availability.
• Introduce and review new repair methods, tools and materials.
• Plan and deliver trainings in the field and for new technologies.
• Create reports and KPIs for the Technical Team Lead / Area Manager.
• Engage in customer meetings and maintain primary contact as needed.

About The Department

The Service Operations Development NCE Department delivers customized solutions for up-tower repairs, crane less solutions or cost out initiatives to the NCE (Northern & Central Europe) Service regions. Strong collaboration with WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) Engineering Support / Construction and CIM (Continuous Improvement Management) department.

Your responsibilities – here's where you can get involved!

• You are responsible for the implementation of strategic projects regarding compliance with Vestas goals and cost reduction
• You prepare CIM (Continuous Improvement Management) cases (technical feasibility, availability of tools and materials) and check repair instructions/CIM cases and their implementation in the Service area
• You introduce and review new repair methods, tools and materials
• You plan, organize, and carry out technical and practical trainings or briefings in the field and create training programs for new technologies, tools and work processes
• You moderate and escape technical problems to find solutions
• You prepare and create reports and KPIs for the Technical Team Lead / Area Manager and plan and holding regular meetings with them
• You direct contact with the customer to a certain extent and participate in customer meetings

Your profile – what makes you a great fit!

• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, or electronics
• You have 5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position in the Wind industry and bring good knowledge of the Vestas product range, systems and processes
• You are skilled at planning, organizing, and coordinating complex activities, and you can lead and motivate international teams
• You show a deep commitment to safety and consistently encourage safe work practices
• Your have experience in conducting trainings in a classroom or group setting and feel comfortable holding training sessions in the turbines
• You have basic knowledge of project management
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps as well as learning management system administration
• You have a valid Class B driver’s licence and are willing to travel during the week in Germany and the NCE region
• You communicate fluently in both German and English, enabling effective collaboration in an international environment
