Jobtailor in Belgium is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure specialist to design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere, Nutanix and Windows Server environments for high availability and optimal performance. You will monitor, optimize and update these platforms, document configurations and procedures, and collaborate with other IT teams to align infrastructure with business goals.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure administration.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and virtualization monitoring tools (e.g., Aria Operations).
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Domain Services.
• Solid networking and system architecture understanding.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible).
• Knowledge of GDPR and IT security best practices.

Description du poste

• Design, implement, and maintain VMware, Nutanix, and Windows Server infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance
• Monitor and optimize the performance of VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and Windows Server environments, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues
• Plan and execute system updates, patches, and upgrades while minimizing impact on business operations
• Develop and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, and operational procedures
• Collaborate closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment between infrastructure solutions and business objectives
• Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant platform updates

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure administration and configuration
• Demonstrated experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and virtualization technologies including knowledge of their associated monitoring tools (Aria Operations,..)
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Domain Services
• Solid understanding of networking principles and system architecture
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Ansible, or similar tools)
• Knowledge of System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) is considered an asset
• Good understanding of IT security practices and GDPR requirements
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Analytical, proactive, and capable of working independently under pressure
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus
• Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation (approximately one week in five), providing out-of-hours support when required.
