Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Head of Vendor Management / Associate Director to lead vendor strategy for an international pharmaceutical and life sciences operation based in Belgium.

You will shape a centralized vendor management function, drive supplier partnerships, and oversee the full vendor lifecycle from sourcing to governance, ensuring quality, compliance, and performance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Outsourcing, or Partnership Management within life sciences or regulated industries.
• Proven track record in managing high-performing vendor networks.
• Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, quality and compliance.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and large-scale vendor contracts.
• Experience designing and implementing vendor governance frameworks, performance management programs, service-level metrics, and risk management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead centralized vendor management and outsourcing strategy across units.
• Develop strategic vendor partnerships to support objectives.
• Negotiate contracts and manage commercial arrangements.
• Oversee vendor lifecycle: sourcing, onboarding, performance, governance, offboarding.
• Establish vendor governance frameworks and KPIs.
• Monitor vendor capacity and supplier performance against forecasts.
• Drive cost optimization while ensuring service quality.
• Collaborate with Legal, QA, and Contract Management on agreements.
• Mentor and develop the vendor management team.
• Support risk management and business continuity for outsourced services.
