Job summary

Axis Group in Belgium is seeking an experienced insurance underwriter to focus on engineering and construction risks (ABR). The role includes preparing quotes, policies, and handling related administrative tasks, while evaluating new and ongoing ABR cases.

You will serve as the technical and commercial contact for brokers, collaborating with Sales and Administration teams, and operate in a hybrid model from the Berchem office.

Qualifications

• Extensive underwriting experience in the insurance sector.
• Deep knowledge of engineering and construction risks (ABR) for large accounts.
• Fluent in Dutch and French, speaking and writing.
• Available through March 2027 and able to work from the Berchem office with a 3/5 full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes, policies, and handle related administrative tasks.
• Evaluate and approve new or ongoing Engineering/Construction Risks (ABR) cases.
• Act as technical and commercial contact for brokers via phone and email.
• Collaborate with fellow underwriters and with Sales and Administration teams.
