EngiFlex BV, based in Belgium, seeks a Senior Test Engineer to verify software functionality from technical and functional perspectives. You will support the software design and delivery team with testing expertise and contribute to QA practices across the project lifecycle.

You will perform functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners, and end-user support during acceptance testing, while improving testing processes and QA deliverables.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in software testing including manual and automated testing.
• Experience with manual UI testing, API testing and defining test strategies.
• Strong knowledge of testing processes and methodologies; ISTQB is a plus.
• Experience testing Java services, web services, REST APIs and related tech.
• Ability to model complex processes and workflows.

Who are we?

This role is based within an organisation in the Belgian notary sector. The organisation supports notary offices and their employees with legal expertise, management advice, IT solutions, training and information for the general public.

Its ICT service unit develops and delivers software for several notary domains, including real estate, enterprise and family matters. The team helps notaries and their customers work with digital services.

The job:

As a Senior Test Engineer, you verify that software functions as expected from both a technical and functional perspective. You support the software design and delivery team with your testing expertise.

You are responsible for functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners from integration through qualification, and end-user support during acceptance testing. You also contribute to improving testing processes and implementing quality assurance practices.

You report to the Software Team Leader and work closely with functional analysts, developers and engineers in the operations department. The role combines automated API testing with manual and automated UI testing.

• Review business requests and analysis documents.
• Create and execute test cases, scenarios and test plans.
• Follow up on defects and issues, and prepare test reports.
• Automate test cases using the tools that best fit the technology and testing needs.
• Support the teams involved and help estimate the required test effort and test planning for projects.
• Improve testing processes and deliverables.

Your profile

You have experience as a senior IT automation test engineer and meet the following requirements.

Technical skills... You have...

• A bachelor's degree or higher.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
• Experience with manual UI testing, API testing and defining test strategies.
• Strong knowledge of testing processes and methodologies. An ISTQB certification is an asset.
• Experience testing Java services, web services, REST APIs and proxy services, as well as open standards such as XML, XSD and WSDL.
• Solid experience analysing and modelling complex processes and workflows.
• Experience with Jira and the Xray plug-in, ReadyAPI and Playwright.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience with Groovy scripting or an equivalent technology.
• Familiarity with OWASP Security Verification practices.
• Familiarity with public administration systems is an asset.

1000 Brussels, with 40% of the working time in the office and 60% working from home.

Selection process

The selection process consists of two interview rounds. The first is a one-hour meeting with the line manager and HR via Teams. The second is a one-hour technical interview held onsite.
