MindWave is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the ICT unit supporting thousands of professionals in Belgium. You will define test strategies, create and run test plans, and automate API and UI tests with suitable tools while coordinating with analysts, developers and engineers.

You’ll ensure functional and non-functional quality, assist with test effort estimation, and participate in end-to-end testing with external partners, supporting user acceptance testing in a hybrid work setup.

Competenze

• 7+ years in software testing, both manual and automated.
• Experience with API testing and building test strategies; ISTQB is an asset.
• Experience testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, proxy services and XML/XSD/WSDL.
• Knowledge of Jira, Xray, ReadyAPI and Playwright; Groovy scripting is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile environments; familiarity with public administration systems is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English or French and English, with a basic knowledge of a third language.

For a leading Belgian organization in the legal sector, we are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join the ICT unit that builds the software supporting thousands of professionals and their clients in their digital transformation.

You’ll make sure the software works as expected on both a technical and a functional level: from functional and non-functional testing to end-to-end testing with external partners and support for user acceptance testing. You’ll report to the Software Team Leader and work closely with analysts, developers and engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining the test strategy and reviewing business requests and analysis documents
• Creating and executing test cases, scenarios and test plans, following up on defects and writing test reports
• Automating test cases (automated for APIs, manual and automated for UIs) with the right tools for each technology and need
• Supporting the teams and helping estimate the test effort for projects
• Improving testing processes and test deliverables
• Performing functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners, and supporting user acceptance testing
• Working closely with analysts, developers and engineers while reporting to the Software Team Leader

Your Profile

• At least 7 years of experience in software testing, both manual and automated; a bachelor’s degree or higher is an asset
• Experience with API testing and building test strategies; ISTQB certification is an asset
• Experience testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, proxy services and open standards such as XML, XSD and WSDL
• Knowledge of Jira, Xray, ReadyAPI and Playwright, and experience with Groovy script or equivalent
• Experience working in Agile environments; familiarity with public administration systems is a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English or French and English, with at least a basic knowledge of the third language
• Eligible to work in Belgium
