Job summary

Pauwels Consulting seeks a Test Automation Engineer to support digital transformation for a leading legal and professional services client in Brussels. You will verify software functionality at both UI and API levels while collaborating with delivery teams.

The role emphasizes automation with Playwright, Groovy, TypeScript and ReadyAPI; you will craft test scripts, contribute to test estimates, and advance testing practices in an Agile, hybrid Brussels setting.

Qualifications

7+ years in software testing focusing on UI and API automation.
Playwright, Groovy, TypeScript, ReadyAPI experience.
Testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, and proxies.
Proficient with Git version control.
Experience in Agile environments.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Fluent in English with native-level Dutch or French and good understanding of the other language.

Responsibilities

Review acceptance criteria to ensure testability of requirements.
Set up and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright.
Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API layers.
Monitor bug tracking, perform issue follow-up, and deliver comprehensive test reports.
Define test estimates and project plans with the lead test manager.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and deliverables.
