Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to provide scientific and technical expertise across the Pet Health portfolio in the Benelux, with a primary focus on Belgium. You will support internal sales and external customers, shaping technical initiatives that drive growth.

Location Antwerp with field and home-based work across Belgium; travel to the Netherlands and within the EMEA region is expected. Veterinary degree and strong French/English (Dutch helpful) are required.

Qualifications

• Veterinary qualification is required.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English, with a good level of Dutch.
• Min. 5 years of experience in the companion animal health sector.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input into the Pet Health business strategy and support product positioning.
• Train and coach sales teams on products and disease areas.
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and veterinarians for long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to provide technical support to veterinarians and stakeholders.
• Address technical questions and support pharmacovigilance and promotional material accuracy.

Your Role: Senior Technical Consultant

As Senior Technical Consultant, you will provide scientific and technical expertise across Elanco's Pet Health portfolio in the Benelux, with a primary focus on Belgium. You will support internal sales teams and external customers while helping shape technical initiatives that contribute to current and future business growth.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input into the Pet Health business strategy and support the positioning of products, claims and scientific content across the Benelux.
• Train and coach sales teams on relevant products and disease areas, translating scientific knowledge into practical customer value.
• Build and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and veterinary professionals, developing mutually beneficial opportunities and long-term partnerships.
• Partner with sales and marketing managers and sales representatives to provide value-adding technical support to veterinarians and sales stakeholders.
• Address technical questions and product complaints, support potential adverse event and pharmacovigilance reporting, and ensure the technical accuracy of promotional materials.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Veterinary qualification.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English, with a good level of Dutch.
• Min. 5 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of the companion animal health sector, with the ability to communicate technical and scientific information at an appropriate level.
• Strong organisation, implementation and prioritisation skills, with the personal accountability and flexibility to manage multiple projects and learn new products and disease areas.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

• Established relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and veterinarians, supported by demonstrated success in building long-term customer relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders in a customer-focused environment.
• Computer literacy.

Additional Information:

• Travel: Occasional travel.
• Location: Antwerp office, field and home-based work across Belgium, with regular travel to the Netherlands and occasional travel within the EMEA region.
