Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking an experienced Software Architecture Lead to steer a specialized development team in Brussels. You will architect scalable, secure systems, and deliver high-quality software across backend (Python/Django) and frontend (React) stacks.

Responsibilities include setting coding standards, reviewing architecture, and ensuring Agile delivery with CI/CD automation. English is essential, with Dutch or French a plus; hybrid work with two onsite days per week in Brussels.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software architecture and system design experience.
• 8+ years backend development with Python and Django.
• 8+ years frontend development with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 8+ years of Docker, Docker Compose, and CI/CD processes.
• 8+ years of data-driven app development with SQL and pandas.
• Extensive API development experience: REST, SOAP, GraphQL.
• Proficient with Git, GitHub, GitLab.
• Fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and coordination of a specialized development team.
• Design complex systems with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Build and maintain robust backend services using Python and Django.
• Develop modern frontend interfaces using React.
• Establish coding standards and perform code reviews to ensure technical excellence.
• Translate business requirements into technical implementations in an Agile environment.
• Manage deployments and automation using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
